Terry Kelly is a Certified Illinois assessing Officer (CIAO).  After completing the required course work to obtain his CIAO designation, Terry has gone on to complete over 120 hours of continuing education through the Illinois Property Institute and the Illinois Department of Revenue. 

Terry holds a Masters Degree in Management from National –Louis University, a Bachelors Degree in Business from Elmhurst College and a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Marquette University.

Prior to being elected as Township Assessor he was elected as Township Trustee.  While serving as Township Trustee he was also unanimously elected as Vice-President of the Township Officials of Cook County Trustee Division.

He is a life-long resident of Palatine Township, is married to Kim and has two children.  Currently he is a senior analyst for global printing and telecommunications company.  Terry recently completed a national exam and is now a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians.  He is a die-hard baseball fan and card collector and is an avid fan of Jethro Tull.
