- Maintained Road District vehicles in excellent condition through careful maintenance. We get 14 years out of a plow truck vs. 8 yrs for typical municipal use. We have modernized and added to our fleet with careful buying. We are equipped to handle just about anything Father Winter can throw at us. As a result we clear snow from our roads very quickly to allow both regular traffic and emergency vehicles to access our subdivisions.
- Completed several major drainage projects in our Township and have made significant progress in reducing flooding.
- Worked with the Village of Palatine and the Village of Inverness, through intergovernmental agreements to do snow plowing and road maintenance. Such cooperation is an efficient use of our taxpayers’ dollars.
- Provide approximately $1.5 million dollars each year, out of our budget, to the villages in Palatine Township to use for maintaining their roads.
