Sue summed it all up. Our team wants good programs for reasonable cost. Local government run consistent with Republican principles far exceeds the offerings of Blago and Stroger any day of the week.

Sue Johnson
Eventhough she is running unopposed Sue speaks for the whole team about Republican Principles. Here are her remarks.

Good evening citizens of Palatine Township!

My name is Sue Johnson, and I am running for Collector of Palatine Township.  I have the privilege of joining a dedicated, experienced and responsible Republican slate of mainly incumbent officials who have served on the Board with accomplishments we all can be proud of.

I am a resident of Palatine for 20 years. I am married to my husband Rick and we have three grown children.   I have benefited from and donated to the Township programs & services.
The Township’s many quality programs attract volunteers who help run the programs efficiently, reducing the need for further staff positions.   The board has frozen board salaries in anticipation of doing more with less, given the weak economic climate we live in.

This is my first time running for public office. I am excited and humbled about having the opportunity to serve the residents during the next four years.  In walking door-to-door & talking to residents during the past few weeks, I’m finding positive feedback on the Board’s accomplishments.

In my role as Collector, I will follow the Mission Statement, which is:  “To provide all residents of Palatine Township with quality services and programs while maintaining fiscal responsibility.”  Also, my role is to participate on Township committees as a public servant of the people, and have the opportunity to continue emphasizing fiscal responsibility and government integrity.

In closing, our Democrat opponents have claimed that we’re too partisan.  Well, if partisan means you believe in responsible limited government, family values, and a balanced budget, then I’m all for partisanship.

Thank you citizens & the LWV.  I ask for your vote on April 7 for the entire Palatine Township Republican Team who will continue to work responsibly as public servants for you.
